  1. Its a scam of the highest order people!! John Prasad is paid $140,000 NZD, tax free, car and phone given free at our expense, he is chairman of at least 3 Boards, FDB, Fiji Water and now FNPF. Experience wise, f..all, check his CV!! come pne enpugh of this shit people, what happened to good governance IG talking about, this is neopotism and corruption of the highest order. Its a sham and shame, IG you’ve totally lost my confidence now, what started as a new Dawn is turning out to be Fiji’s nightmare, God help us!! the IG will bleed the FNPF dry and that is how they plan to survive till 2014.

  2. i have to agree with Fiji Man, you can only keep the faith for so long, then you just have to wonder what the hell is going on, and what lemmon are we being sold, dont get me wrong im all for change, the changes that Frank and the Military said they would make, but now its the AG running the show. we have people advising that are not quilified to run a corner store. its all over, we just wonder who is going to pull the trigger…

  3. FIJI needs good people to guide us and see her thru this hard economic times .whoever it is wont come cheap . you pay peanuts and your will get monkies. we let john prove his worth . from what I hear from others, he comes with Fiji at heart and doing it for Fiji and lets hope he succeeds for us all.

  4. Son of Fiji

Yes, Timoci – Fiji does need good people, and we can easily judge how much they have Fiji at heart by what sort of compensation they are demanding.
The rate of pay that John is claiming is ludicrous – and he is not the only one.
Like Fiji Man, I too hoped for a new dawn… God knows the potential for it was right there. It may still be, but it needs us who truly have Fiji at heart to stand up and be counted.
And I’m not talking about insurrection – I’m talking about giving Frank more alternatives then what he has right now. Someone needs to point out that he has straying from the middle ground – straying from the line that is the best for Fiji. Its a very difficult line to keep, and quite often will result in much criticism from the loud mouthed right & left extremists – DO NOT heed their voices. The silent middle ground has the majority, and always has.

  5. No one who works in this country, at this time or at any time, should be receiving a ‘tax free’ salary. This is not a ‘tax exempt’ country like Bermuda or the Cayman Islands. We have been there before with a past Vice Chancellor of the USP. Every individual knows, roughly, his or her worth in the market. So, integrity insists that they come clean on what they are paid as a matter of public transparency especially when public money is being used to pay them. Only a monkey would accept a tax free salary in a developing country and feel happy about it. So is this man a monkey or not? He should tell us.

  6. If what Fiji Man says about this Prasad dude is true, he is not the right choice for the job. There are a lot of capable people in Fiji and overseas who would be happy to take up the position for much much less. Not for the money, but for the belief they have the capacity to make a difference.

    Dump this gold-digger.

  7. If John Prasad is not the right man for the job what do you say about Bainimarama and his crooks like Mahen Chaudary,John Samimi
and all the fucken Indians that support the junta …they will be taken to task each and everyone of these bastards.
Sory for the sudden burst of temper….

  8. another man

John is well experienced and very educated in buisness- Hold an MBA and has worked in International Business- he deserves a chance

  9. The silent middle ground can most unfortunately not be tested. Like certain political parties claiming they have ‘majority support’ two years or more after December 2006, the “Silent Majority” is merely a notion. Even the Peoples Charter is an insufficient test. There would need to be a referendum. But would a referendum be subverted and manipulated in the manner of the May 2006 election? How would a referendum be paid for when tax payers’ money is used to fund inflated salaries for a few?

  10. im with you son of fiji, god bless fiji.

  11. MESSAGE TO C.I.A.

This has nothing to do with the discussion re: John Prasad-dont know anything about him-therefore I am not in any position to comment!

However, Mr C.I.A. (CERTIFIED IGNORANT ARSEHOLE) IS NO DOUBT WHAT YOUR PEN NAME STANDS FOR. UNHELPFUL GENERALISATIONS AND RACIST COMMENTS ARE NOT ONLY IGNORANT BUT UNPRODUCTIVE. WHY DONT YOU TURN YOUR ANGER AND FEAR INTO SOMETHING MORE PRODUCTIVE INSTEAD OF MAKING EMPTY THREATS AND SWEEPING STATEMENTS. IF YOU LOVE FIJI THAT I SENSE YOU DO IN YOUR OWN WARPED WAY, WHY DONT YOU SPEND THAT ANGER AND ENERGY BEING CHRISTIAN AND HELP BUILD A BETTER FIJI, FREE OF RACISM, CORRUPTION AND HATRED.

NOT EVERYTHING IS BLACK AND WHITE IN THIS WORLD!!

  12. C.I.A.
