Where does all the money go???

The Rot Behind the Politicised Clergy

Manasa Lasaro is a criminal with what has been exposed previously on this site, hi is also a  dirty political mongrel.
Kanailagi is known to have sold of a piece of church land and kept the money in addition to the church house and land he occupies which has mysteriously been transferred as his personal property without the church knowing, Rev Ratabacaca, a Lasaro supporter is known to have used church money to pay for his sons flying school fees years ago.
Kanailagi and Lasaro are known to have used money in the thousands for personal use including that of a church school. Maybe this is one for FICAC to get stuck into or is the reason behind their wanting to stay in power.
Lasaro is 69 years old and Kanailagi 70 years and should have retired years ago like other clergy before them.

  1. Do we support blatant and wilful missuse of Church funds? NO, NEVER!!

Let us not forget, that a “laborer is worthy of his wages”… Luke 10 :7b. Should the Methodist Church see it fit to effect these land and monies transactions in lieu of or deemed to generous retirement package, then who are we to blooming shout ‘thief, thief”…just be careful your heart does not stop pumping while shouting thi……ef..thi…….

Now, with all due respect to this post modern statutory accountability mechanise, we mush never forget however, the Global Church of God have a pre-existing transparent and dignified Finance accountability regime based on the divine principles of Biblical economic. Principles that have never compromise, colluded and connived in any shape or form..NEVER EVER!!

Just ask Jesus’ late Minister of Finance, Dishonourable Judas, greedy couple Ananias, with Sapphira his wife (Acts 5), Prophets Elisha’s Private Secretary. (2 Kings 5) and many more who thought they’d rout the Biblical accounting principles.

Hence, well before the advent of this western kinda barometer to measure income and expenditure, there existed this very honourable, transparent and dignified type of accounting.

To be at par with the changing of social economic times and commensurative Law and accounting practice, the church like every other Incorporated entity were mandatorily required to submit to these new accountability mode. Notably, the Church like all others have Financial and Banking obligations which may require the Finance and Economic situation and credibility of the church put in an accounting language that is universally acceptable to this various finance institutions.

In most case these long standing Church accounting ethos and modern accounting practise clashes, like trying to use a wooden foot rule to justify the measure of air density…’wara me so’a”

In fact, reputable and International Financial houses and Accounts firms overseas have managed to accommodate both these practices as they must be seen to compliment each other NOT one demeaning and accusing the other of proffessional incompetence or the other mere secularism.

We know many of these independent accountability houses. In fact, many major mega Foreign lenders and the likes of uncle Bill G and uncle Warren Foundations looks more favourably to NGO that have gone through the tooth pick of organisation like the ECGA.. Evangelical Council for Financial (http://www.ecfa.org) accountability and many more. I’m a board memebr of one such org that subcribe to ecfa.

May be these globally reputable and independent type Auditing houses need to set office in this region..just cause they “kapish”…Biblical economics and well versed with Internationally acepted acounting and audit policing.

  2. I’ll make it easier for you guys at Real Fiji News to find out what Tomasi Kanailagi had been doing last year.

Kanailagi was a committee member for the Suva Methodist Primary School last year. And you guys know what?

The school didn’t have their annual prize giving ceremony last year because there was no more money left to buy the prizes. Kanailagi and his committee members used up all the money that until today God knows how the school money was used.

When it was found out that the school had no money to pay for the annual prize giving, the parents were furious and they moved to sack all the committee members. Lo and behold, Manasa Lasaro popped up to support Kanailagi and them.

But the committee were all sacked and a new committee came in led by Rev Reuben of the Indian Methodist division.

There’s more to this and if you guys at Real Fiji News want to know more, just dig it up from the school teachers and parents.

  3. “vitivou”……You again….spewing your unsubstantiated slimy accusation all over the country side.

I do not believe this highly esteemed column have self appointed moral guru like this coward in their moderator squad. No we don’t.

Allegation and accusation are only worth investigation if made by a human person and with a real name.

Purely, because if proven right we know where to pin our appreciation, conversely, should allegations be bull dust, then we know who to counsel back to reality.

..as it stand, “vitivou’s allegations are just a lump of verbal diarrhea…. nothing more.

We do not condone misappropriation of school funds by any school Board, let alone a Church school where integrity should be the norm.

Hence, we challenge this “vitivou” to unmask, be a man and make those accusation..opps..sorry..sa gole mada va qo meu vuni ena bele ni liku kei na su i ra qo.

  4. @vitivou my my what a shameful thing to do!!! Kanailagi shud be ashamed of himself!!! io na ka e vunitaki e na dau kacivaki mai dela ni vale, never go wrong, what goes around comes around!!!

  5. Hearsay and gossip is insufficient. Evidence of malfeasance is required. If money has gone missing, then evidence of this must be around: someone knows and that someone must come clean. It is as simple as that. Not coming clean is collusion in crime. Is there criminal conduct?

  6. My daughter and nieces are schooling in Suva Methodist. I’m talking from someone with knowledge of what happened there last year. If you don’t believe me, just call the school up and ask the secretary or whoever answer the phone. Ask them who is the current school manager, whether they had the prize giving last year.

  7. @vitivou..so this is the best forum to bring this allegations to..mmm..mate, wrong place ,taciqu.
Here we deal with REAL news, not police or agent vinod kinda work.
Look, as we said we do NOT condone such act by anyone. Let’s let the law do it’s work.
We wish your lovely daughter and nieces every success in their education and future. We know life is tough, especially educating our children in the present Fiji environment, a big contrast from the time my our two older kids attended Suva Methodist Primary, but by golly God is good!!..and shall see us through this one too!!

  8. kanailagi is paying for his sins right here on earth! there is a saying ” what you do today will affect your tomorrow” you have to pay a high price to be God’s messenger on earth, not use it as a whitewash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Semi Meo,

First of all I hardly comment around the blogsites but just come around to read what people like you are saying or commenting on in the blogosphere. When I see a lot of uninformed people like you commenting all over the place like experts on everything and anything, that’s why I then comment because I’m just tired of seeing your garbage.

I’m sick to the bone of reading comments from people like you who just get their information from the internet, newspapers and TV stories. People like me have the hard facts. That’s why we sacked all committee members of Suva Methodist last year and bring in a new management.

Because people like Kanailagi and Lasaro continue to exploit the faithfullness of ordinary church folks, they need to be exposed.

Every Suva Methodist parents know what I’m talking about here. If you would like to find out the truth, just call the school and ask them or whoever answers the phone.

  10. Semi Meo,

  15. @” sa rauta mada”, “s.raqiqi” and “viti vou”….with all due respect to your REAL names, which unfortunately, you all may be ashamed of, please allow be jolt you all back to REALalism and ..may be sanity.
Firstly, my REAL name is Semi MEO.. don’t like it??…well, you’re 52 yrs late.
If you’d follow my posts, under my REAL name, of all anti?pro IG site, I emphatically stated we do not condone any act of sedition or evil maneuver in the Church, Government, Home or even in the “veitiri”.
In an earlier topic re; unceremonious cancellation of Methodist Conference, we’ve advocated that may be time the two former Presidents gracious retire so the Church afford due honor to the Two young Talatala on the wheels without the two oldies lurking around a corner office in Epworth House with a lower pastoral or administrative post!
However, when allegations are publicly made against anyone, whether those of you in high office or us in Jittu estate, then simple rules apply. You guys are smart enough to know it….come on! Same rules my grade one teacher told me when I accused Jacoro stole me lunch.
Evidence, names of Witnesses, the accused version of things, and,,,yep…..you’re right; what does the Law says, additionally, moral law and barometer to judge against.
But, what is the point of a fully wigged Judge, evidences and witnesses all lined up with no blooming Prosecutor.
This is case, nameless, gutless cowards wanna be prosecutors who prostitute themselves with all kinda ideologies, and anchoring in none…what a life…what a life!..go get a REAL one!!

You guys did not concur or blast my contributions to sythereens, with REAL reasons…so why should I waste my time on nameless and faceless thugs who curses like a drunken sailor needing a bit of moral mouth and heart wash.

Ke drau qai milamila tiko ga….sa drau veilewai sara ga yani.

I end my case in this topic and will move to other REAL News to be posted in this estemmed column.

  22. As I give thought to matter I find it repugnant for any religious organisation to allegedly covertly convert properties or items that do not belong to them infact it deprives the rightful owners of their belongings.

Which on all accounts work contrary to the teachings of the holy book?

While their respective congregation maybe munificence towards these Ministers it must understood they are compensated for duties rendered and therefore in all honesty must not to lay claims nor be accepting of such generous gifts.

Are these ministers in it for monetary gain or are they in it to server God and the greater good of the people?

  23. Again, we re-affirm that we neither condone any illegal nor any immoral dealings of properties or monies, including ones registered and under any Church!!

To assist all us talk on the same page; let’s be very clear from the outset that a “laborer is worthy of his wages”… Luke 10 :7b; be they CEOs of Mega Company or humble council workers at the Rubbish dump, or Soldiers in the Camp or Ordained Full Time Ministers or Pastors, Pundits or other Fulltime workers of NGO.

Simply, because these are human beings, who may be parents and have children: are charged the same bus fare, electricity bill etc, and have aspirations for the academics and career success of their children like the rest of us lay members of the human society.

Well before the advent of the fixed salaried and wages remunerating work done, original forms of “payment” were either in kind or reciprocal gifts, in most case, remunerative to service rendered.

Any insinuation that “manna” falling from heaven may be sufficient for the everyday human needs of those called to service God and for the greater good of the people may just be super spiritual and/or a very humanist assessment or ignorance of Biblical or Church economics.

The custodians and stewards of Church properties and monies are the Ministers and Lay Leaders and their respective Boards. They have the mandate of the wider congregation. They all are the “rightful owners” under God.

Again, what’s the fuss?? If the Conference and the Standing Committee or what ever machinery, legally and morally vested with the powers to dispose of the properties and monies via a unanimous resolve, then..hey..that’s the decision…we the masses appointed them to those high office.

Should members disagree, then they have various stages of redress within the constitution of the Methodist Church and under Fiji’s judicial machinery to seek redress from. Goodness!!, this esteemed column is for REAL news only.…pleeeaaasseee…NOT…to adjudicate some disgruntled Methodists complaints. Some of ’em, may have never given more than $1 black devalued Fiji dollar to the Methodist Church run Dilkusha orphanage!!

If you’re no Methodist like me..then..what is our “baigani”..in their “kuro kaveti”!!

  24. Below are excerpts from the book of Luke which truly resembles the metamorphosis of Fiji currently.

Luke9/49 John spoke up. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘we saw someone driving out devils in your name, and because he is not with us we tried to stop him.’

Luke9/50 But Jesus said to him, ‘You must not stop him: anyone who is not against you is for you.’

Luke10/2 And he said to them, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to do his harvesting.

3 Start off now, but look, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.

4 Take no purse with you, no haversack, no sandals. Salute no one on the road.

5 Whatever house you enter, let your first words be, “Peace to this house!”

6 And if a man of peace lives there, your peace will go and rest on him; if not, it will come back to you.

7 Stay in the same house, taking what food and drink they have to offer, for the labourer deserves his wages; do not move from house to house.

For the souls among men is currently being harvested, those who have black hearts will be destroyed.

  25. It is always beneficial to read the whole Bible. We read daily papers and novels, magazines from cover to cover, but NOT the Bible.

No wonder some of our Biblical and Theological views a warped. And when we do read the Bible, lest we only read the letter of the word but let’s allow the spirit of the author to help us comprehend all we read from the bible. Just that the Good book cautioned in 2 Corinthians 3:6b..”for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life”.

Contribution closed in this topic..let’s move to the next.

  26. On the day of judgement whe asked what you done for the weak and the poor what would you say.
