Methodist Bloggers

From TT

The meetings that were conducted by the military council and the two senior clergy namely Tuikilakila (church secretary) and Tugauwe (church president) were all in confidence so how come they ended up on blog sites? Even a text to Tugauwe from the Prime Minister appeared word for word on anti-government blog sites.

Is it Tuikilakila who is a well known SDL advocate doing the blogging or is he supplying his brother in the US information??. His brother was ordained by Kanailagi (former church president) during his trip to the US without going through any Methodist theological college. It is well known that another of Tuikilakila’s brother was a SDL candidate in the elections.

  1. Well isnt it amazing that the Methodist web site is the same as the Raw Fiji News site, both are at WordPress, seems strange that a religion would know about these blog sites!

  2. its about time that someone put a stop to the methodists, they take all this money off the poor for the church, in times like these we need all the money we can get and giving away $100’s to the church isnt right. im clad they had to cancel the conference, who needs another talk fest.

  3. Blindedbythelight

Charity begins at home and most families can’t even afford to send their children to school, put food on the table or provide basic needs for children yet they MUST give to the church – because the church ministers say so! People are brainwashed into “giving to God” – but hey…god doesn’t need the money…people do!

  4. Many of us do not condone some senior Methodist Ministers ethos to sanctify some Coups while demonising others. Yours truly included, views all attempts and execution of Coups in the light of Isaiah 14, the 23rd book of the Holy Bible.

Giving money to the Church is a privilege many Christians of all denomination enjoy. Some freely gives up to 10% of their gross income , gross profits from investment or daily business.

Mega structure like the CMF in Kinoya, Lautoka AOG, ANC’s Lilac Cinema etc, most unencumbered, were built from givings of their respective Church members who believe in Biblical economic principles and returns afforded on both sides of the grave.

I beg that we do not stoop to demonise the Church, any Church in Fiji for that matter, please. The Methodist Church and later the Roman Catholic Church both played vital Missionary roles respectively in permanently shifting our dinner habits from each other to other species…phew….how would I’ve tasted had it not been their obedience to the Heavenly call.

Sure, many of us cringe when a private SMS between the Leader of a Nation and the head Sheppard is plastered all over the media. Next used as fish n chips wrapper or early morning companion to the dunny in some villages and squatter. The SMS, in our view should be privy only to these two gentlemen. We would instead prefer, in spite of the time difference, them speaking to each other even if one has to jump out of bed in the..eh…”suluvakatoga”

Let’s not be Church bashers, please. It’s some who run the Church that needs to read they Bible more……., for Heavenly directions, instead of relying to much on human counsel. That goes for some of us lay men too.

  5. sa rauta mada

Is jone waqairatu been ordained????? they must be crazy. is this the same jone who was the principal of RSMS who recruit ladies as teachers on the condition of “kali one shot batawo” before given the ok to teach?????????????

  6. It is not uncommon to ordain Lay preacher as Minister in any denominations. Constitutionally and with the biblical parameters.

Former Licensing Authority executive late Uncle Saimoni Kete, retired Teacher Mr. Epeli (forgot his second name) and many others with no formal Theological Training at all but have deemed to have proven and dedicated to the Methodist cause.

It is not uncommon either for lay people in remote villages to conduct or celebrate sacraments and even funeral services, wedding etc as may be logistically impossible to have an ordained Minister in time.

Even if some prospects have delved in alleged immoral tango in their previous life, appropriate counselling, mentoring and training helps transcends persona from the dark side to the light making them worthy of this higher calling.

Staying in the calling is then another matter in this “crooked and perverse generation”. Let’s wish them well, shall we, for fruits will tell, don’t you worry about that!!

  8. The Methodist Church per-se or for that matters any other religious organisations will never be blasphemed nor defiled [sic] against for obvious reasons, however those that control the reigns of the Church or at the very least two of them are complicit in participating and perpetuating offensive activities against the nation of Fiji therein lies the Church’s dilemma.

For these two lowlife inebriates preaching nothing but delusive prophecy they speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but are not benevolent to their fellowmen.

Buried deep in their inner beings nothing but hatred often rooted in differences between people of dissimilar races and religious beliefs they have led their people down a very destructive and maleficent path.

They are the true incarnation of Satan himself they are malevolent in what they disseminate they are nothing but true malignant hypocrites.

  9. Sooo..the “shut up your face decree” also tyrannically binds this site?

    ..mmm ..”AND FINALLY …..
No this is not a Military Blog
No this is not a Government Blog
AND YES WE hate the Lies on Raw Fiji News. So have your say here, show them up for the lies they tell and the people they like to destroy through spreading rumours, and finally lets give some balance to the blogging.”

I’ve never incite rumours, only blogs on principles, WITH MY REAL NAME, as my word IS my bond!!
